Non-Sri Lankan nationals may follow PG certificate, PG Diploma, Masters and MD programmes offered by the PGIM.
Prospective trainees interested in postgraduate study programmes should possess a medical or dental degree registrable with the Sri Lanka Medical Council. The decision of the Board of Management will be final in all such applications.
The PGIM will arrange a preparatory course for up to six months for non-Sri Lankan nationals intending to sit the selection examination on request.
In order to enter such programmes, they must pass the relevant selection examination by obtaining the minimum pass mark. You may refer to the examination calendar to view the exam schedule. When applications are invited for a specific selection examination, a circular containing relevant details will be issued. You may refer to the circulars page to view relevant circulars.
Successful candidates will be placed as supernumerary for their training rotations.
The training will end with the completion of the first eligible exit examination, and if trainees are unsuccessful, they will be allowed to resit the examination in line with the current rules and regulations.
Please refer to section 9 of the general regulations of the PGIM for the most updated information.
