THE PGIM LOGO

The new logo for the PGIM, has been designed based on the advice given by the Vice-Chancellor to indicate the affiliation of the PGIM to the University of Colombo.

The logo includes the lotus petal margin as a symbol of purity, 11 swans symbolizing ability to distinguish good from bad (both present on the logo of the University of Colombo), and the single serpent entwined rod of Asclepius which is the symbol of healing and allopathic (Western) medicine.

The new logo symbolizes the PGIMs affiliation with the University of Colombo, local cultural heritage and allopathic medicine.

The new logo of the PGIM has been approved by the Senate of the University. The colours (as decided by the University Council) will be maroon and gold.
